Molly R. Kiser’s principal areas of practice include residential real estate and creditor’s rights/default servicing.
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
Molly came to Sykes, Bourdon, Ahern & Levy in 2018 to manage the firm’s default servicing department and assist with residential real estate transactions. She began her legal career as a law clerk with a local real estate firm where she obtained her CRESPA certification as a registered real estate settlement agent and gained experience in real estate law by facilitating seller-side residential closings, drafting various types of deeds, identifying and clearing title issues, and reviewing and interpreting purchase contracts and related documents. While pursuing her legal education, she earned a position as a legal intern for the Newport News Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office in Newport News, Virginia where she honed her trial and legal writing skills. Prior to that, she served as a judicial intern for the Portsmouth General District Court in Portsmouth, Virginia.
She earned her Juris Doctor from Regent University School of Law in Virginia Beach, Virginia where she received the Ronald L. Fick Book Award for excellence in Trial Practice. She obtained her Bachelor of Arts in English from Regent University College of Arts & Sciences during which time she served as Senator, Vice President, and finally President of the Regent Undergraduate Council.
