Mrs. Kiser’s principal areas of practice include default servicing law, residential real estate closings, and civil trial practice in the area of unlawful detainers.
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:
Mrs. Kiser began her legal career as a Law Clerk with Hanger Law in Virginia Beach, Virginia. There, she obtained her CRESPA certification as a registered real estate settlement agent facilitating seller-side residential closings, drafting various types of deeds, identifying and clearing title issues, and interpreting purchase contracts and related documents. While pursuing her legal education, Mrs. Kiser earned a position as a legal intern for the Newport News Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office in Newport News, Virginia where, among other things, she prepared and argued trials and hearings, and researched and wrote briefs. Prior to that, she served as a judicial intern for the Portsmouth General District Court in Portsmouth, Virginia.
She earned her Juris Doctor from Regent University School of Law in Virginia Beach, Virginia where she earned the Ronald L. Fick Book Award for excellence in Trial Practice. She obtained her Bachelor of Arts in English from Regent University College of Arts & Sciences during which time she served as Senator, Vice President, and finally President of the Regent Undergraduate Council.
Mrs. Kiser is admitted to practice before the Virginia State Bar, the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Virginia, and has an application pending admission to practice before the United States Bankruptcy Courts for the Western Districts of Virginia.
Mrs. Kiser is a member of the Virginia State Bar Association.
