James T. Cromwell

PRACTICE OVERVIEW

Mr. Cromwell’s principal areas of practice include real estate transactions; wills and trusts; corporate and business law; civil litigation; landlord and tenant law, bankruptcy and creditors rights; criminal defense and traffic violations.

EXPERIENCE

A native of Virginia Beach, Mr. Cromwell is a graduate of Cox High School and Virginia Wesleyan College, where he received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Religious Studies. Mr. Cromwell conducted his legal studies and earned a Degree of Juris Doctor at Regent University School of Law. After completion of his legal studies, Mr. Cromwell joined the Law Firm of Sykes, Carnes, Bourdon & Ahern, P.C. in March, 1994. Mr. Cromwell has concentrated his practice in all courts, federal and state in the Tidewater, Virginia area.

Mr. Cromwell is admitted to practice before the Bars of Virginia and the U.S. District Court, Eastern District, U.S. Bankruptcy Court, Eastern District, U. S. Bankruptcy Court, Western District.

PROFESSIONAL ACTIVITIES

Mr. Cromwell is a member of the Real Estate, Litigation and Bankruptcy Sections of The Virginia State Bar Association; Norfolk-Portsmouth, Virginia Beach Bar Associations and The Tidewater Bankruptcy Bar Association. Mr. Cromwell is a Life Member of Virginia Beach Volunteer Rescue Squad, and serves on the Board of Directors of the Virginia Beach Volunteer Rescue Squad Foundation.
